The 100th anniversary edition version of the Nikon D5 announced earlier this summer won’t begin shipping until August 2017, the company has revealed.

Nikon Japan announced the delay on its website, stating that the company needs time to make the final adjustments to the product.

The 100th anniversary edition Nikon D5 was due to begin shipping this month on July 28th but will now be early August.

The full statement reads:

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Nikon products.

Regarding the following models that were planned to be released on July 28, we will postpone the release in early August, as it takes time to final adjust the product. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience incurring a great deal to customers waiting for product launch.

As soon as the release date is decided, we will inform you again.
