Phase One has introduced a new firmware update to its medium format XF Camera System that adds Electronic Shutter integration, among other new features.

Available now and free for all Phase One XF camera system owners, the new firmware update includes complete Electronic Shutter integration on the IQ3 100-megapixel system.

And Phase One has extended its warranty on the XF Camera System to include unlimited shutter actuations.

What’s more, the new Phase One firmware update adds enhancements for studio and flash photography with the in-camera Profoto Air Remote enabling Profoto TTL metering.

The update also adds a post-capture Flash Analysis Tool to give even more control over the lighting. Full functionality of the Profoto Air for up to six groups is now built directly into the XF Camera System.

Phase One has also announced a new XF V-Grip for the system and added new customisation options such as Icon Control, Create, Load & Save System Setup and Advanced Tool Options for sequence tools.
