Organisers of the Sony World Photography Awards 2017 have announced their final call for entries, as both the Professional and Open and Youth competitions come to a close in January.

The Professional competition closes January 10, 2017, and the Sony World Photography Awards’ Open and Youth competitions will close on January 5, 2017.

The 2016 contest saw some 230,103 images entered into the Sony World Photography Awards by photographers from 186 countries. The 10th annual competition next year promises even more entries.

All entries to the Sony World Photography Awards are free at the competition’s website.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on April 20, 2017. Prizes include the latest Sony gear plus cash prizes of $25,000 for the overall Professional winner and $5,000 for the overall Open competition winner.
